Easter Festival Service

On April 4, 2010, thirty-five people gathered for our Easter festival service and celebrated the glorious message of Christ’s resurrection. In addition to singing many favorite Easter hymns, we had special music offered by the adult choir, the children’s choir, and Psalm 118 sung by a cantor with congregation participation. The children’s choir was accompanied by the Sunday school teachers on tone chimes. There was special American Sign Language participation in both of the choir pieces. The sermon text was I Corinthians 15: 51-57. We were reminded again that even though we live in this fallen, sinful world, we can be joyful knowing that that one day heaven will be ours because of Christ’s resurrection from death. Prior to the service there were special Sunday school activities for the children, and after the service a potluck Easter dinner was enjoyed by all.
